How to Play Keno
Pick Your Lucky Keno Numbers
You will see 80 numbers on the virtual keno board. Unlike a conventional lottery, which says you must pick 6 numbers, the keno rules allow a great deal of flexibility in deciding how to play keno. You may play online keno by picking 1 number, or you can pick 2, or you can pick any amount you want up to 15 numbers.
One of the advantages of playing keno online is that you don’t have to mess around with pencils and papers. You pick your keno numbers online by simply clicking on them with your mouse. The keno rules and the keno strategies remain the same, but the keno game play is quicker and cleaner online.
The payout odds of the keno game will vary depending on how many numbers you picked, and the appropriate payout table will be displayed prominently on your screen. When you are satisfied with your wager and your lucky number picks, click the Play button. Now the fun — and the suspense — begins.
Winning at Keno
How much you win at keno depends on how many numbers you picked and on the number of hits you achieve. The payout table is displayed clearly on your screen so you don’t have to memorize anything, but a few examples will demonstrate how it works.
- If you pick one keno number and that number hits, you win 3 times your bet.
- If you pick two numbers, one hit pays back your bet and two hits pays 9 times your bet.
- If you pick six number, one hit pays back half your bet, two hits pays back your full bet, three pay double your bet, four pays triple your bet, five pays 30 times your bet, and six hits pays 75 times your bet.
- If you pick fifteen numbers, three or four hits pay half your bet, five pay back your bet, six pays double your bet, and seven pay 5 times your bet. More hits bring bigger payouts until the ultimate keno jackpot of 10,000 times your bet for fifteen hits.
