Improved mechanics, a new game mode and the stylish presentation that’s catapulted the FIFA series to fame are standout features of FIFA 18. It’s a cross-console video game that has a taste of ‘gambling’ written in. Do well on the pitch and you can earn in-game coins just like you do in online casino games!
Cross Console and Online Football Sim
FIFA 18 is powered by the Frostbite game engine for PlayStation 3 and 4, Xbox 360 and One and Microsoft Windows. The Nintendo Switch version runs on an internally developed engine. So, whether you’re a PlayStation, Xbox, Nintendo or Windows gaming guru, you can lock, load and play in the Premier League, La Liga or the Bundesliga without leaving your easy chair!
Released worldwide on 29 September, the EA developed sim is the 25th installment in the series. It features Christiano Ronaldo as the cover ‘stud’ and Alex Hunter as the main man in a continuation of the story-based mode that’s now entitled ‘The Journey: Hunter Returns’.
In addition to a few surprises, you’ll still be able to pick your ‘Ultimate’ team from the true luminaries of international football. The only difference is Diego Maradona joins the likes of Thierry Henry and Pele to add a bit of spice to an intoxicating mix of sensational football skills.
All in all, you can enjoy the enhanced cross kicks and headers of top-tier matches, where your opponents are the recognizable superstars of the pitch……albeit with a noticeable lack of speed, intelligence and agility!
Football Star Online Slot is known to be a prolific scorer on all All Jackpots platforms – prepare for a soccer shoot-out with Rolling Reels™ and the works. You can chase the 600 000-coin jackpot anytime and anywhere as it’s available on our Desktop, Browser and Mobile casino!
Let’s take a look at what’s new in FIFA 18:
The Career Mode
For the first time in FIFA 18, you can get down to the big money side of pro football in the Career Mode. It features interactive transfer negotiations that are so realistic you’ll be forgiven for breaking into a full blown sweat.
You’ll sit opposite the likes of Conte, Valverde, Jose Mourinho and Zinedine Zidane as you haggle over players and the millions of pounds you have to part with to get the big league players into your team. Dialogue boxes favoured by RPGs are all that stand between you and the deal of a lifetime!
If you get stuck in negotiations you can take time out with a couple of cut scenes or you get straight down to the business of buying the best of the breed. One of the highlights of the Career Mode is the ability to get up close and personal to what are awesome replicas of real-life coaches, managers and players!
Enhanced Game Play
A re-engineered crossing mechanic, probing runs, incisive build-up play and sleek and confident passing are now neatly in your arsenal. Animations are vastly improved and goalkeeper antics are faster, more cerebral and altogether more powerful. Those frustrating high loopy throws – which were nearly always intercepted by opposing players – are now relegated to the dustbin of history…phew!
A major plus is the provision of two of a dozen possible playing styles for all teams; one defensive and one attacking. On the down side, defenders are still rather slow and clumsy off the mark but hey, the pros far outweigh the cons as regards movement and game play.
FIFA 18 on Nintendo Switch
In addition to using the proprietary engine, the Nintendo version of FIFA 18 is missing Alex Hunter in The Journey. That means you’ll dip out on the customisable features that allow you to give Hunter a personalised makeover. More’s the pity, as the travails of the young 18-year old from Clapham add another dimension to the game.
